Kopek is an expense tracking app operated by Alexander Bagdasaryan. The short version: your data stays on your phone. Kopek has no accounts, no sign-in, no cloud database, and makes no network requests at all.
Everything you record in the app — wallets, transactions, transfers, categories, tags, notes, receipt photos, exchange rates, recurring rules, and preferences — is stored only in a local database and local files on your device. We cannot see it, and it is never uploaded. Deleting the app deletes this data.
The app does not connect to the internet. There is no backend service, no account server, and no exchange-rate service — currency rates are the ones you type in yourself. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics, attribution, or tracking SDKs. It does not track you across apps or websites, and there is no data for us to sell or share, because we never receive any.
You can attach a receipt photo to a transaction, either by choosing an existing photo or by taking one there and then. Existing photos are chosen through Apple's system photo picker, which means the app is never granted access to your photo library — it only receives the specific image you pick. Taking a photo asks for camera permission the first time, which iOS remembers and you can withdraw at any time in the Settings app; the camera is used for nothing else. Either way, the image is copied into the app's own storage on your device, is not added to your photo library, and is never uploaded anywhere.
Kopek can export your transactions to a CSV file and import one back. Export hands the file to iOS so you can save or send it wherever you choose; import reads a file you select. Neither step sends anything to us. Once an exported file leaves the app, it is governed by wherever you put it.
Feedback reaches us as ordinary email, written and sent from your own mail app. Kopek does not send anything itself and never sees the message — your mail provider delivers it, exactly as if you had written to us yourself, and we receive whatever your email account normally reveals about you. What you include in the message is entirely up to you.
Kopek does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photo library, health data, device identifiers, or usage data. It has no access to your bank, and it cannot import transactions from a financial institution.
Because data lives only on your device, it is included in your normal device backups (iCloud or computer backups) under iOS's standard mechanisms, which are governed by Apple's privacy terms.
Deleted transactions and transfers go to Settings → Trash, where you can restore them or remove them permanently with Empty. To remove everything at once, delete the app — that erases the database, the receipt photos, and all preferences from the device.
Kopek is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date.
