Pood — Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 15, 2026

Pood is a workout logging app operated by Alexander Bagdasaryan. The short version: your data stays on your phone. Pood has no accounts, no sign-in, and no cloud database.

Data stored on your device

Everything you record in the app — movements, sets, reps, weights, benchmark scores, dates, notes, and preferences — is stored only in a local database on your device. We cannot see it, and it is never uploaded. Deleting the app deletes this data.

The import feature

Most files are read entirely on your device: an export laid out as a table is parsed on the phone, with nothing sent anywhere. Only when a file cannot be read that way — free-form text, or an unfamiliar layout — is its text sent over an encrypted connection to our parsing service, which uses an AI model to extract workout records from it. The file content is processed transiently to answer that one request and is not stored by us. To prevent abuse, the app sends a random device identifier with each import request; it is generated on your device, is not derived from you or your hardware, and is not linked to any personal information.

That service runs on Cloudflare Workers and calls the Anthropic Claude API to interpret the file. Neither we nor Anthropic use your file to train models; Anthropic may hold it briefly for abuse monitoring under its own API terms, and it is not associated with you.

Data we do not collect

Pood does not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or Apple Health data. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not sell or share any data — we do not have it in the first place.

Backups

Because data lives only on your device, it is included in your normal device backups (iCloud or computer backups) under iOS's standard mechanisms, which are governed by Apple's privacy terms.

Deleting your data

Use Settings → Erase all data in the app to permanently delete every record on the device, or simply delete the app.

Children

Pood is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy
